Aviation-Event to Contribute to Frankfurt Discussion on the Environmental Balance of Aviation
21. August 2026
Aviation-Event Founder & CEO Marcel Riwalsky will moderate an upcoming public discussion in Frankfurt examining the relationship between aviation, mobility and environmental protection.
The event, “Mobilität und Umweltschutz anders denken: Die ökologische Bilanz des Fliegens” (“Rethinking Mobility and Environmental Protection: The Environmental Balance of Flying”), will take place on 31 August 2026 at Saalbau Gallus in Frankfurt.
Organised by Bürgeraktion PRO Flughafen e.V. in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, the event will bring together experts as well as political and industry perspectives to discuss the environmental balance of flying and the wider role of aviation within modern mobility and connectivity.
The discussion will look beyond aviation’s environmental impact in isolation, exploring the broader context of mobility, technological development, connectivity and economic activity. The programme will feature an introductory presentation by Dr. Franz Josef Radermacher, followed by a discussion with Dr. Franz Josef Radermacher, Prof. Rupprecht, Björn Simon, MdB, and Dr. Thorsten Lieb, moderated by Marcel Riwalsky. Audience questions and an informal get-together will follow.
For Aviation-Event, the event represents an opportunity to contribute its aviation industry perspective to a broader public discussion and to facilitate an open, fact-based exchange on an important issue shaping the future of aviation.
