Aviation-Event 2025 CLJ will take place on March 21 at Cluj International Airport, addressing key challenges and opportunities in the aviation industry

Aviation-Event 2025 CLJ is set to take place on 21 March 2025, in Cluj-Napoca, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the future of aviation amidst evolving geopolitical, economic, and environmental landscapes. The conference, hosted by Cluj International Airport and organized by Aviation-Event, will feature a series of insightful panels and keynote sessions addressing key challenges such as decarbonization, regulatory harmonization, and innovation within the industry.

The Opening Welcome Session will provide local representatives of administrative institutions with the opportunity to welcome delegates and emphasize the significance of aviation for the region’s economic growth and connectivity.

The host of the conference, Cluj International Airport, represented by David Ciceo, CEO of Cluj International Airport will present the aviation landscape of Romania and especially Cluj-Napoca during the Moderated Welcome Keynote coordinated by Raphael Muelders, Journalist, La Libre Belgique.

The global representative of aviation for the conference, Ms. Candace McGraw, Chair of ACI World Governing Board, will discuss the main aero political Challenges in a Changing Landscape with Marcel Riwalsky, CEO, Aviation-Event during the main Keynote Interview of the conference.

The conference agenda will also includes three key panels:

• Panel 1: Europe on its own? Major aviation players leaving the path of liberalization and decarbonization? This panel will examine the implications of shifting policies for competition, environmental goals, and the future of European aviation.

• Panel 2: Shaping the Future of Aviation will focus on the balance between established corporations and startups in driving innovation, exploring funding challenges, regulatory hurdles, and potential collaborations.

• Panel 3: The Roadmap to Implementing Aviation Safety and Regulations will highlight the necessity of a unified global approach to aviation safety standards.
